Many people suffer from trauma or acute stress due to their experiences while fleeing or in their country of origin. Unfortunately, due to the lack of suitable therapy places, the majority of them only receive therapeutic help very late, and sometimes never at all. ArrivalAid Trauma Help can serve as a supportive measure to better deal with the consequences of trauma. It does not replace therapy, but can help to better deal with individual stressful situations and strengthen individual resilience.
The concept
The core of the concept is the qualification of trauma helpers who can support traumatized people, if possible in their native language. The concept is based on education about the effects of trauma together with simple physical exercises . The aim is to reduce individual complaints and improve resilience.
As they gain experience, helpers have the opportunity to qualify as multipliers in order to further convey our concept to new helpers themselves. This is intended to achieve a high level of broad impact.
In order to reach as many people as possible, both on the supportive side and those seeking help, we offer various formats.

Get in touch with us using the contact form and we will arrange a phone call with you to introduce ourselves and get to know you better.
We will let you know the date for our next two-day training course here as soon as it is set!

Short seminars
In a two-hour workshop we will discuss the most common trauma-related diseases and their symptoms. Why refugees are a particularly vulnerable group, what needs to be taken into account when dealing with them and what I can take with me into everyday professional life.
Educational measures
To get a deeper insight into the topic of “traumatized people with a history of flight and migration,” we offer day seminars on the topic of traumatization of refugees. The seminars deal with trauma as a clinical picture and how to deal with acutely stressed refugees. The seminars offer space for moderated intercollegiate exchange and for discussing concrete options for action that can be used directly in practice when working with people with refugee and migrant backgrounds. ( Only on request/min. 10 participants .)
