EducAid
We support refugees with vocational training in the company and at vocational school
People with a refugee and migrant background who have found a training place face major challenges: At vocational school, it is often difficult to follow lessons as a non-native speaker. There are work cultures in training companies that the trainees are not yet familiar with.
EducAid training support focuses on the two central points of dual vocational training: in the vocational school and in the company EducAid
Part of the support includes mentorships with volunteers who provide individual help with learning, dealing with authorities or other everyday challenges. Regular workshops on topics relevant to training, ongoing courses in key vocational school subjects as well as open learning and homework help complete the offering.
For trainees with
refugee and migration experience
6-month support from volunteer training supervisors: individual support in the learning process, dealing with authorities and with everyday challenges in everyday working life
Regular workshops on topics relevant to training, such as the principle of the dual training system, learning and presentation techniques or time management
ongoing courses in cross-training subjects (e.g. German, mathematics, social studies)
open learning and homework help, accompanied by volunteers
